Our client is a boutique hedge fund managing over $1 billion in assets under management with a strong focus on small-cap and mid-cap investments across sectors like consumer, business services, and industrials. The firm has built a reputation for its low-net strategy, which has gained significant investor interest in the current market environment. The firm is primarily based in NYC, and is actively expanding their Charleston presence. As part of its next phase of growth, the firm is looking to bring on an Investor Relations Associate to work directly with the Head of Investor Relations.
Investor Relations Associate Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key point of contact for investors, handling inquiries and providing timely and accurate information.
- Prepare and generate reports on financial performance, fund activities, and other relevant data for distribution to investors.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of investor transactions, agreements, and compliance-related materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and compliance, to ensure smooth operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Assist in organizing investor meetings, conferences, and events to foster positive relationships and provide updates on the firm's activities.
- Utilize technology and CRM platforms to manage investor databases, track communications, and generate reports.
- Conduct analysis on market trends, investor behavior, and other factors influencing the firm's relationship with investors.
Investor Relations Associate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investor relations, financial analysis, or a related role with an investment management firm.
- Knowledge of financial markets and investment principles.
- Prior exposure to Investor Relations, Wealth Management, RIAs, Multi-Family Offices, or HNW clients.
- Proficient with technical skills in Microsoft and PowerPoint.
- Ability to navigate the CRM and the creative side of the business (i.e., presentations, pitch books, and design creativity for websites).
