Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Adhere to the Conduct Rules as outlined in the Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR) at all times.
- Collaborate with Traders to provide analytical insights that enhance business operations.
- Work on improving development standards and the robustness of systems.
- Independently generate ideas and methods to boost desk performance and analysis.
- Undertake project work to support marketing and client-related tools.
- Interface with the firm's internal risk management systems and database.
- Conduct analytic project work as directed by the Head of Trading.
- Perform other duties as determined and agreed upon by the Head of Trading and senior members of the Front Office Team.
Person Specification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Coding experience, preferably in Python.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills, combined with strong communication abilities.
- Basic understanding of commodity derivatives is desirable.
- Willingness to take initiative to support the desk's trading activities.
