Business Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch derivatives and structured products to family offices, UHNW individuals, funds, and VCs, with a focus on altcoin options sales.
- Utilise their well-developed market-making distribution network.
- Focus on "New Business" for Derivatives OTC, from pitch to close, including market intelligence, pitching structured products, conference networking, travel, and client entertainment.
- Cultivate existing relationships post-onboarding and provide exceptional client care.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Understand OTC products and market-making (MM).
- Monitor current market trends in relation to web3/crypto trading, including competitor activities, market outlook, and trends.
- Expand the DEX/CEX OTC portfolio, and spearhead partnership channels related to token project launches and trading.
- Analyse both on-chain and off-chain liquidity for suggested liquidity levels/allocation for token projects, with a focus on the APAC region.
- Source and forge strategic partnerships with external projects for strategic collaborations.
- Conduct market research and identify key external industry partners for existing portfolio growth and new market expansion, focusing on China, Singapore, Dubai, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
- Increase the project client base by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for market-making/OTC offerings.
- Represent the firm at regional and global conferences/events to broaden market awareness of the brand name and services.
- Work flexible hours across time zones as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, customer relations, or business development, ideally in the cryptocurrency sector.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and the overall market landscape.
- Problem solver who is able to work autonomously with awareness and responsibility
- Experience with Python data visualisation tools such as Matplotlib.
- Proficiency in using sales CRMs
- Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with a hunger to succeed.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a dynamic team.
