Key Responsibilities:
Develop cutting-edge forward hedging strategies for wind and solar assets.
Model long-term valuations for co-locating renewable and battery storage assets.
Create trading strategies that mitigate risks and boost profitability.
Implement hedging strategies using a variety of instruments (energy hedges, gas hedges, options, etc.).
Develop strategies for Day-Ahead offers for wind and solar farms.
Engage with external partners to drive new product initiatives.
Review and discuss commercial terms of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and risk levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics).
10+ years of general business experience.
5+ years in Competitive Energy Markets.
3+ years in power marketing, trading, asset management, or risk management.
Experience in structuring and negotiating deals.
Familiarity with ERCOT, MISO, SPP, and PJM markets.
Excellent skills in data handling and presentation (Excel, PowerPoint).
Solid finance knowledge and commercial insight.
Strong project management skills.
