A leading global hedge fund is seeking a Quantitative Researcher to join its systematic investment team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about applying deep learning and advanced statistical techniques to uncover predictive patterns in financial markets.
The successful candidate will contribute across the full research lifecycle - from signal discovery through to implementation - leveraging some of the most comprehensive datasets in the industry. Researchers are given end-to-end ownership of their strategies, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality predictive signals using advanced ML and deep learning frameworks (e.g., neural networks, NLP models).
Analyse large, diverse datasets to identify alpha-generating signals.
Implement signals within a global, high-performance execution platform.
Monitor and optimise live model performance, signal degradation, and capital allocation.
Collaborate with global teams including data scientists, technologists, and portfolio managers.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Advanced degree (PhD/MSc) in a quantitative discipline such as data science, statistics, machine learning, mathematics, physics, or engineering.
Hands-on experience applying deep learning techniques (e.g. LSTM, transformers, CNNs) to real-world data.
Strong understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning, and signal processing.
Fluency in Python, with additional experience in R, C++, or MATLAB considered a plus.
Proven experience working with large-scale, multi-dimensional datasets.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative research environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex models to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prior success in developing or contributing to systematic trading strategies is highly desirable.
