As part of their ongoing expansion plans and their dedication to a cleaner, more sustainable future, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainability Originator to join their dynamic team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities for the Sustainability Originator:
- RECs Origination & Trading: Source, originate, and facilitate the purchase and sale of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to support clients in meeting their sustainability objectives and compliance requirements.
- Carbon Credit Project Development: Identify and originate carbon credit projects that enable clients to offset their carbon emissions. You will also be responsible for ensuring these projects are verified under recognized standards, such as VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) or Gold Standard.
- PPAs Structuring & Management: Originate and structure Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) between renewable energy project developers and corporate or utility buyers, ensuring alignment with sustainability and energy consumption goals.
- Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategies to expand REC trading and encourage the adoption of renewable energy sources across various markets, enhancing the client’s sustainability impact.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Assess the financial, legal, and environmental implications of renewable energy contracts (including RECs, carbon credits, and PPAs) to ensure projects meet corporate sustainability targets while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, project developers, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders in the renewable energy and sustainability space.
Requirements for the Sustainability Originator:
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in the renewable energy, carbon markets, or sustainability sector, with a focus on RECs, carbon credits, and PPAs.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in originating, structuring, and negotiating sustainability-related contracts, including RECs, carbon credits, and PPAs.
- Market Expertise: Deep understanding of renewable energy markets, carbon offset mechanisms, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate complex contracts and projects.
- Passion for Sustainability: A genuine passion for sustainability and renewable energy, with a strong desire to contribute to a more sustainable future.
