Junior Quant Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain front-end applications, including GUI and web services for quantitative finance applications.
- Collaborate with quants and traders to implement and enhance equity derivatives data models and life cycles.
- Design and implement tools and computing infrastructure to effectively present complex analyses for the equity derivatives desk.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Focus on market data efficiency and improve data processing pipelines to support quantitative research and analysis.
- Optimize and enhance existing modeling applications and infrastructure for performance and scalability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for upstream and downstream systems.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.
- 2-6 years of experience as a developer in top banking or IT companies.
- Solid understanding of quantitative finance concepts, including pricing models, risk management, and derivatives life cycles.
- Experience with front-end development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Proficiency in database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with distributed computing, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
