Job Title: Sr. International Tax Specialist
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic Sr. International Tax Specialist to lead advanced analyses and support their global tax compliance and strategy initiatives. This key role ensures alignment with international tax regulations, identifies optimization opportunities, and provides expert advice on complex tax matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review intricate international tax returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead the development of transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance with global transfer pricing policies.
- Analyze financial transactions and business activities to evaluate international tax implications and identify potential savings opportunities.
- Stay updated on changes in international tax laws and recommend strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to efficiently manage international tax compliance and audits.
- Support the implementation of global tax strategies, including planning for cross-border transactions and restructuring initiatives.
- Prepare comprehensive analyses and memoranda to substantiate international tax positions and documentation.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for international tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth.
- Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and adopt technology solutions for tax compliance and reporting.
- Consistently deliver high-quality analysis and seek innovative solutions to enhance business performance.
- Lead after-action reviews to identify lessons learned and share insights for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across functions to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge and practical expertise in your area of work.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in managing sensitive, confidential data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work as a team player while managing multiple projects.
- Demonstrates professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness, particularly when working without formal guidelines.
