Selby Jennings has partnered with the Global Fund Admin arm of a global Investment Management firm based in Nashville, TN.
Qualifications:
- 7+ YOE in the in the mutual fund or finance industry, ETF experience
- 4-year college degree
- Experience with a fund administrator or audit firm is preferred
- Proficiency in standard desktop applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word. Advanced Excel skills such as macro writing would be a plus
Responsibilities:
- Support and Guide Team Members: Provide feedback, oversee tasks, and take responsibility as needed.
- NAV Calculation: Ensure accuracy of NAV calculations by service providers.
- Audit Coordination: Assist with audits, resolve queries, and review financial statements.
- Regulatory Reporting: Support tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Trial Balance Activities: Understand and manage income, expenses, transactions, and distributions.
- Operational Issues: Research, resolve, and report any operational issues.
- Deadline Management: Ensure team deadlines are met and resources are allocated.
- Decision Making: Authorize and review critical decisions related to team activities and funds.
- Feedback and Support: Provide timely responses to internal and external queries.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and business partners.
- Process Improvement: Document processes, create training plans, and propose improvements.
- Strategic Projects: Lead projects like fund launches, liquidations, and data requests.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., IRS, SEC).
- Distributions and Reporting: Review fund and investor distributions and tax documents.
- Personnel Management: Participate in evaluations, compensation discussions, and interviews.
- Vendor Management: Manage business partners and vendors through reporting and KPI evaluation.
