Main Responsibilities
- Risk Governance and Strategy: Provide oversight in risk governance and advise senior management on market-making risk and liquidity provisioning exposures, including strategies for capital and liquidity management, considering macroeconomic and financial market conditions.
- Performance Analysis: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the factors behind the bank's financial and non-financial performance.
- Credit Review: Review credit facilities for margin trading, brokerage clients, and counterparty credit limits in coordination with the Credit Risk Department.
- Risk Information: Provide timely and accurate risk information to relevant committees, auditors, and the compliance function.
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers with queries on the bank's products and seek solutions to their requests.
- Policy Implementation: Identify and assess material risks across all business lines and refine policies related to strategic, market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with risk departments and senior executives to prepare risk management guidelines and policies.
- Operational Risk Management: Liaise with operational risk management on incidents and critical issues, obtaining approval and direction for further action.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure continuous alignment with regulations and that risk-related requirements are met.
- Documentation: Record all relevant risks in departmental policies and procedures manuals, maintaining and updating risk registers.
- Process Control: Ensure business and back-office process controls related to the risk framework are up-to-date and regularly reviewed.
- Support and Mitigation: Support departments in assessing and mitigating risk exposure.
- Trade Control Checks: Review and evaluate trade control checks, including monitoring risk metrics, trading limits, margins, regulatory requirements, and counterparty risks.
- Incident Management: Investigate, review, approve, or reject risk incidents or exceptions as appropriate.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct ongoing monitoring of overdue receivables and margin alerts, preparing daily and periodic risk reports.
- Procedure Updates: Ensure risk management procedures are updated in response to changes in internal policies or procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all regulatory risk management requirements are met and staff comply with guidelines.
- Escalation: Escalate deviations from common practices or serious issues to the respective department heads and operational risk management.
