Director, Electronic Fixed Income Quantitative Researcher

A tier-1 American Investment Bank is looking to hire a hands on, ED level quant researcher to contribute to their Fixed Income algorithmic trading business.

The role focuses predominantly on algo research within fixed income swap and futures markets. They need a senior individual to contribute to their ePricing, Auto quoting and auto hedging algorithms as well as a significant portion of the role being strategy research.

We are ideally looking for an individual coming from either an eFI or eFX team at the senior level, that is keen to provide strategic oversight of projects whilst also leading the majority of algo research.

The wider business have recently made some outstanding senior hires from their top competitors in the algo trading space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Projects and mentor a team of quantitative researchers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement advanced quantitative algos for fixed income market making including swaps, bonds and futures.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify market trends, trading opportunities, and risk factors.
  • Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Extensive experience in quantitative research within the electronic trading market, with a strong track record of success.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income products including Fx Swap, Futures, EGBs and more.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
