Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other relevant standards. Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management, investors, and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage capital expenditures, and optimize working capital.
- Investor Relations Support: Collaborate with leadership to prepare reports and presentations for private equity investors and partners.
- ERP Systems: Identify and implement new ERP solutions and reporting methodologies.
- Manage third party accounting and tax vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Experience in a leadership seat is nice to have.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Corporate/Management Accounting and Financial Reporting experience required.
- Investment/Fund accounting preferred | Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting preferred
- Public accounting experience highly desired.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Experience with private equity-backed companies or managing relationships with investors is a plus.
