About the Role:
Our client is a leading boutique financial advisory firm specialising in turnaround and restructuring services. With a strong track record of assisting distressed companies in various industries, they are seeking a talented and experienced individual (5-12 years of professional experience) to join their team as a Turnaround & Restructuring Director in New York City as well as Chicago. This is a hybrid role with travel to client sites required.
Job Description:
As a Restructuring Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing restructuring projects for our clients. You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, financial analysis, and operational expertise to companies in distress, working closely with stakeholders to help them navigate complex financial challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage turnaround and restructuring projects from start to finish.
- Provide financial analysis and create comprehensive restructuring plans.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve company operations and financial stability.
- Collaborate with clients, creditors, and other stakeholders to negotiate agreements.
- Identify and assess risks associated with restructuring projects.
- Oversee a team of professionals and ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of direct turnaround and restructuring experience.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Proven experience managing teams and projects.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to Travel Required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Certification such as CTP (Certified Turnaround Professional) is a plus.
