A top hedge fund in New York is looking to bring on an analyst to idea generate across the Aerospace and Defense sector. The team is ideally looking to bring on an individual with 2+ years of experience covering A&D on the sellside.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Present Investment Ideas: Conduct in-depth analysis and present well-researched (tactical) investment opportunities
- Monitor and Optimize Existing Positions: Continuously evaluate portfolio holdings
- Collaborate on Idea Generation: Collaborate with others internally to leverage technology/data to enhance research process
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Equity Research covering Aerospace and Defense
- Idea Generation: Ability to formulate tactical L/S ideas.
- Strong Analytical Expertise: Exceptional financial modeling skills and a demonstrated ability to dissect complex financial data.
- Clear and Persuasive Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate analysis and investment recommendations.
- Investment Mindset: Passionate about investing
- A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced credentials (e.g., CFA, MBA) are a plus but not mandatory.
