Director of Capital Formation Job Description:
We are working with a leading Hedge Fund based in San Francisco, specializing in innovative strategies and high-impact investment opportunities, looking for a Director of Capital Formation to join their dynamic team to oversee the firm's capital raising efforts and further strengthen their relationships with investors.
Director of Capital Formation Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the firm's capital formation efforts, including fundraising, investor relations, and new business development.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing investors while identifying and pursuing new capital sources.
- Coordinate and execute the firm's marketing materials, including pitch decks, investor updates, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the investment and operations teams to communicate the firm's investment strategies and performance effectively to investors.
- Manage and grow the firm's investor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Stay current with market trends, investment opportunities, and regulatory changes to help shape the firm's capital formation strategies.
- Represent the firm at investor conferences, networking events, and other industry engagements.
Director of Capital Formation Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or fundraising within the hedge fund or asset management industry.
- Proven track record of successfully raising capital from institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Strong knowledge of the hedge fund landscape and alternative investment products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Exceptional network within the investment community and a demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships.
