Selby Jennings is working with an Investment Bank focused on Middle Market Software transactions. This Investment Bank has a boutique DNA, working under a large platform and is looking to bring a qualified Vice President to their team in Los Angeles. This banker would work with the Head of Software, with a team comprised of sharp individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage M&A transactions from inception to completion, including deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry players, including software companies, private equity firms, and venture capitalists.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and industry trends.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, pitch books, and other marketing materials to clients and potential investors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and tax advisors, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support throughout the deal process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A in the software industry.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and closing M&A transactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
