Comp: 200-400k total compensation
Summary: A industry leading multi strat multi manager is seeking a trade application support engineer who is strong with Python and operating in Linux environments to join their team. You will be supporting their trade systems with end users such as traders and PMs.
Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with low latency market data and order management systems, internal or third party
- Technical proficiency with Python, Linux, SQL, Excel, with the ability to debug scripts and code
- Working knowledge of FIX trading protocol
- Experience with NUMA nodes/x86 architecture, UDP multicast, hardware accelerated. Understanding of difference between TCP vs. UDP networking
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Time Management
- Mentorship abilities
Responsibilities:
- Monitor low latency Marketdata and Order Management Systems and provide support with attention to follow up on tasks and post mortems
- Post trade processing and resolving trade settlement issues in a timely manner
- Software Deployment and support; following best practices for Production in financial markets in a low latency environment with deterministic and robust systems
- Ownership of production footprint, e.g. identify system improvements, automate daily tasks using Python, and document existing and new workflows
Nice to Have:
- C++ debugging experience
- Understanding of and ability to describe the architecture of modern matching engine or market data distribution system or order management system
- DevOps experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Docker
- Ability to troubleshoot network, authentication, and file transfer issues
